the smoking ban

The recent smoking ban has come as boon for the Indian health society. The only thing is that the Government should enforce the ban stringently. People smoking in the public should be punished. Seniors from my college used to smoke near a xerox shop just outside college. And seniors is not restricted to only the guys.. There were plenty of girls too! I really dont know why do people smoke in the first place inspite of knowing the hazardous effects. Ok fine if they really want to die early, why take the others too? It is said that exposure to secondary smoke is equivalent to smoking! Its really bad.. People who dont smoke also become victims of deadly diseases..
Anyway i really hope the ban is effective..
