Writing because I like writing
I have always been a big proponent of reading and writing. And while I diligently read at least 2 to 4 pages of a novel every day (usually fiction, lately non-fiction), I can't say the same thing about writing. There are a lot more benefits to writing than reading. I literally have to put down my thoughts on paper and they have to make sense. It's so much harder than it looks, but that's why I need to do it. I have always been the try-hard-things-and-do-them-well kind of person. I have been struggling to find a topic to write about. Julio Zhuo says that writing is a process of extracting personal truth from the dark depths of the mind's ocean. And that writing, reading, and thinking go hand-in-hand. While reading exposes one to new perspectives, writing helps bring clarity and aids to express ideas honestly and vividly.
